Abstract

An influencer or digital influencer is thought to be a person who can influence other people's behavior and opinion through content posted on their social networks, creating engagement, curiosity and potential purchase. The aim of this study is to analyze the rituals of influence of the character Vivi Guedes, who acted as a digital influencer in the soap opera “A Dona do Pedaço”, played by actress Paolla Oliveira, broadcast by Rede Globo in 2019. The paper has as methodological approach the use of qualitative exploratory research, using a bibliographic survey. The results obtained in the study allowed us to identify identification and approximation techniques using simple and direct language, portrayed by a fun and relaxed character, which eventually had a significant impact on the audience. The repercussion of the character made it possible to get a life of her own beyond the soap opera.

Como professor universitário com mais de dez anos de atuação, dedico-me à formação de profissionais em programas de graduação e pós-graduação na Universidade Metodista de São Paulo.
