This integrative literature review aimed to analyze how the prevention of teenage pregnancy is carried out in schools. The bibliographic survey was carried out in the databases: CINAHL, LILACS, PsycINFO, PUBMED SciELO, SCOPUS and Web of Science. Articles published in the period from 2010 to 2019 in Portuguese, English and Spanish were selected. Among the 46 articles located in the searches, seven were analyzed. The study sample was quite diverse. The studies brought from how the teenage pregnancy prevention programs were implemented, as well as the analysis of the process and strategies for creating them. The interventions aimed at: raising awareness about contraceptive methods, stimulating later sexual initiation, building skills to refuse unwanted sex, stimulating sexual abstinence, reducing risks for sexually active adolescents and reducing external influences on sexual decisions. These interventions were offered through curriculum with age-appropriate sexual health content, through dramatizations, videos, lectures and computer lessons. The analysis of the studies concludes that it is important to carry out more comprehensive interventions involving family, school and community to ensure the empowerment of young people on sexual health and prevention of early pregnancy, guaranteeing them greater autonomy.
